What is it with Gok Wan and his obsession with getting women to get their ‘bangers’ out in public? It’s usually non-starry types who he manages to persuade to shed their clothes on his show How To Look Good Naked, but his latest victim was an ever so slightly embarrassed Sheridan Smith.
The Legally Blonde star bared (almost) all at the West End Bares All fundraiser at London’s Cafe de Paris. The actress – who has just been cast as Bridget Jones in the forthcoming West End production – ditched her kit to help raise more than £35,000 for the Make A Difference Trust – but admitted the experience left her ‘embarrassed’ and ‘mortified’.
Taking to Twitter Sheridan Smith wrote: “I will never forgive @therealgokwan for making me flash my fat arse & belly in public but just found out we raised £35,000 for @MADTrust! I’m mortified! But what a great charity. So pleased we raised so much!” Gok was quick to tweet back, saying: “@Sheridansmith1 I am so proud we raised an unbelievable 35K for the charity! Each banger raised 17.5k! Are your nipples made of gold?”
